Jan Bierman founded Skills Transfer SA in response to a growing crisis: South Africa's critical shortage of experienced civil engineers in road construction supervision. Having witnessed many road construction projects compromised by insufficient expertise, Jan developed a comprehensive system for transferring practical knowledge to the next generation of engineers.

His career spans major highway projects, provincial road networks, and rural infrastructure development. Through decades of hands-on experience, Jan has refined practical quality control systems, mentorship frameworks, and supervision protocols that address the real challenges facing South African road construction.
